Ally Messer is an American artist born and raised in Reno, Nevada. She recently received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking. Messer's work features fruit and vegetable characters to address topics surrounding social justice, women’s craft, beauty standards, and queer identity.
Messer received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in printmaking in spring of 2019. After interning at the Holland Project Gallery in Fall 2016, Messer served as a member of their gallery committee until 2019. In addition, she was a student worker at the Black Rock Press at the University of Nevada, Reno until her graduation. Messer values accessibility to art and is increasing accessibility to printmaking in her community by teaching workshops at Laika Press, a community-based printing press she cofounded in 2017.
